We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team in conducting mental health evaluations for individuals applying for Social Security Disability benefits (Children of all ages and adults). In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, document clinical findings, and contribute essential input to the SSA's disability determination process.
This is an evaluative, non-treatment position focused on objective clinical assessment. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and detail-oriented clinician with excellent diagnostic and documentation skills.
Responsibilities:

Conduct Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluations: Healthcare professionals to Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and obtain detailed medical histories to assess a patient's health status.

Review Medical Records: Assess patient medical history and current health conditions through medical record review
Qualifications:

Licensure: Active and unrestricted Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license in the practicing state of Maryland.

Own your own Malpractice (Liability insurance)

Clinical Experience: Possess relevant clinical experience, preferably in conducting psychiatric evaluations or working in a behavioral health setting.

Diagnostic Proficiency: Skilled in interpreting diagnostic tests.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with patients and document findings.

Time Management: Ability to manage time efficiently to meet assessment requirements and maintain productivity.

Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using electronic health records and other computer-based documentation systems.

Interpret Diagnostic Tests: Evaluate and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures to support and refine assessment findings.

Document Findings: Ensure the accurate and timely documentation of all examination results, medical opinions, and follow-up actions, in full compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Days/Hours/Locations:
The office is open from 8:30am-5pm and the scheduled day's hour and locations will be discussed during the interview.
