Job Description
Senior Reservoir Engineer
This role would be responsible for corporate planning, reserves management, production forecasting, and strategic decision-making across operated and non-operated assets. This role will provide technical and economic analysis to support business planning, capital allocation, portfolio optimization, and asset valuation activities.
💫Core Responsibilities:
- Perform economic evaluations including NPV, IRR, breakeven pricing, cash flow forecasting, investment ranking, and sensitivity analysis
- Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term production forecasts utilizing decline curve analysis (DCA), type curves, and simulation-based models
- Support reserves estimation and reporting, including SEC and PRMS compliance, while working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party reserves auditors
- Evaluate acquisitions, divestitures, development opportunities, and capital projects through technical and economic analysis
- Develop inventory schedules and support development planning to align operational execution with corporate objectives
- Conduct uncertainty and probabilistic analyses (P10/P50/P90) to support forecasting and strategic decision-making
- Integrate subsurface, drilling, completion, production, and facilities data into corporate planning and forecasting workflows
- Partner with asset teams, finance, commercial groups, and leadership to align technical evaluations with business objectives
- Prepare presentations, reports, forecasts, and recommendations for executive leadership
- Support forecasting automation, planning tools, dashboards, and data quality initiatives
🗝️Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering
- 6+ years of reservoir engineering experience with a focus on corporate planning, reserves, forecasting, and acquisition/divestiture analysis
- Proficiency with ARIES, Spotfire and Enersight - Preferred
- Strong understanding of economic evaluation, reserves management, forecasting, and portfolio analysis
