As a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Washington Brain and Spine Institute in Rockville, MD, you would play a vital role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation care within a premier, physician-integrated neurosurgical practice. This full-time position offers a consistent daytime schedule with no evenings or weekends, supporting both clinical focus and work-life balance.
In this role, you will implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists, primarily working with a geriatric outpatient population. Care is focused on neurosurgical patients, including pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation, as well as cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine conditions.
Your responsibilities will include delivering therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, gait and balance training, and other targeted interventions. You will closely monitor patient progress, maintain timely and accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with the care team.
You will collaborate directly with physical therapists, neurosurgeons, and a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes in a coordinated, patient-centered environment. The role emphasizes evidence-based care, clinical precision, and strong communication.
