Job DescriptionSenior Geospatial Analyst
Location: Offutt AFB, NE (USSTRATCOM J2)
Clearance Required: Top Secret (TS) with SCI eligibility
Travel: Up to 4 trips/year for technical exchanges and conferences
Position Summary
Lead advanced GIS support for USSTRATCOM J2, overseeing technical direction, integration, real-time spatial capabilities, and compliance. Mentor team members and represent the command at technical exchanges.
Required Qualifications
- Current Security+ certification and ability to obtain a DIA/DoD privileged user account.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Sciences or Geography or Remote Sensing or Geospatial Intelligence, or other Bachelor's degree or higher with a concentration in Geographic Information Systems (or Science), -OR- 10 years’ military experience in Remote sensing, Geospatial Intelligence, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or Geographic Information Science.
- Minimum 10 years’ GIS experience, with at least 5 years in senior-level roles in the following fields: Project Management, Spatial data management, or GIS Portal/System management.
- At least eight years’ experience performing mobility modeling (time/distance/likelihood) spatial analysis pertaining to adversary weapon systems movement and knowledge of influential factors.
- At least eight years’ experience with installation, configuration, operation, and limitations of ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Real-Time Operations Dashboards, GeoEvent Server), including producing web maps/apps/dashboards and using GeoEvent adapters for geospatial feeds.
- At least three years’ proficiency with Environmental Systems Research Institute’s ArcGIS Enterprise software, knowledge of Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards, and familiarity with current USSTRATCOM GIS systems and processes to include Machine Learning and Automation concepts.
- At least three years’ experience with relational database management and Python scripting, including connecting with dynamic streaming data (JSON, GeoJSON, XML, CSV, RESTEND).
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, ArcGIS Pro, GeoEvent Server, ArcPy, and Python scripting; experience with DoD IT security standards (DISA STIGs, FedRAMP) and spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server).
- Demonstrated experience with dynamic data connections (REST API and others) and system integration.
- Ability to travel to technical exchanges and industry conferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead advanced spatial analysis, predictive modeling, and route optimization in ArcGIS Pro.
- Oversee integration and maintenance of ArcGIS Enterprise, GeoEvent Server, and Portal.
- Develop secure web GIS applications (Web AppBuilder, Experience Builder, Dashboards).
- Manage real-time data feeds and dynamic data connections (REST APIs).
- Mentor mid-level and junior analysts.
- Represent the team at technical exchanges and industry events.
