Chairside support for dentists, patient care (comfort, instructions), clinical tasks (sterilizing, X-rays, impressions, mixing materials), ensuring smooth patient flow and compliance with safety standards like OSHA and HIPAA, working in dentist offices to support both clinical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet, seat, and comfort patients; review medical histories; provide oral hygiene/post-op instructions; ensure patient comfort during procedures.
- Chairside Assistance: Set up treatment rooms, prepare instruments, pass tools, suction, mix materials, and assist during four-handed dentistry.
- Clinical Support: Take dental X-rays and impressions, sterilize instruments, manage infection control, perform basic lab tasks (e.g., temporary crowns).
- Ability to work with a dentist and team (four-handed dentistry).
- Strong communication for patient education and team interaction.
- Attention to detail for record-keeping and sterilization.
