Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A position is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in a school setting. This is a contract role based in Pflugerville, TX, covering the full school year as a backfill assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing speech therapy plans for students.
- Work directly with students to support their communication and speech development goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to integrate speech therapy into the classroom environment.
- Follow all school policies and confidentiality guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLPA certification recognized by the state.
- Prior experience working with K-12 students in a school or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow detailed treatment plans.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
