We are looking for a detail-oriented part time Logistics Clerk to join our team in Van Nuys, California, on a contract basis. In this role, you will handle key shipping and receiving functions while ensuring smooth logistics operations. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in logistics/shipping and receiving and a commitment to maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
Part time schedule: Monday-Friday 10am-2pm
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely delivery and proper documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and update records to maintain accuracy.
• Prepare and process shipping labels, invoices, and related documents.
• Collaborate with vendors and carriers to resolve any shipping discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Track shipments and provide updates to relevant departments.
• Maintain organized records of all logistics transactions.
• Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to optimize operations.
• Perform routine checks to ensure the security and condition of inventory.
• Provide support to other team members as needed to meet operational goals.
• At least 1 year of experience in logistics, shipping, or receiving roles.
• Strong knowledge of shipping functions and logistics industry practices.
• Proficiency in managing documentation and inventory tracking systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and team members.
• Keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with personal security procedures related to inventory protection.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
