Providing expert nursing care in a dynamic clinical environment, this role focuses on delivering comprehensive patient-centered services within the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and potentially other local departments. The position requires adaptability, as floating between departments and locations within a 20-mile radius is an essential part of the job.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care during shifts, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and patient-centered approaches.
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized patient care, including responses to treatment.
- Coordinate care collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocol, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs from admission onward.
- Provide clinical supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and non-licensed assistive personnel.
- Complete population-specific education and competency requirements according to unit standards.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to float between different units and multiple local sites within a 20-mile radius.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in clinical supervision of LPNs and healthcare support staff is preferred.
