Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A public school district in Massachusetts is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students at both the secondary and middle school levels. These roles are straightforward contract positions with consistent schedules, ideal for educators with a moderate special education license and relevant teaching experience.
Locations and Schedule:
- High School: Two full-time positions at a high school serving grades 9-12. Work hours are 7:30 AM to 2:10 PM. Contracts extend through June 2026.
- Middle School: One full-time position at a middle school serving grades 6-8. Work hours are 7:50 AM to 2:40 PM. Contract extends through March 2026.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Moderate Special Education license
- Experience teaching special education at the secondary and/or middle school level
- Ability to effectively deliver individualized educational plans to students
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement instructional strategies tailored for students with special needs
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting approaches as needed
- Collaborate with staff, families, and related service providers to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings and professional development
