Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher serving middle school students in Golden, CO. The assignment begins ASAP and runs through May 28, 2026, providing consistent work Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours per week. This role emphasizes delivering specialized instruction to students with unique learning needs through individualized education programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction aligned with IEP goals for middle school students in a center-based or self-contained setting
- Implement and monitor individualized academic and behavioral supports tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Maintain compliance with all IEP requirements, timelines, and required documentation
- Collect and analyze student data to inform instructional decisions and track progress
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Generalist license (mandatory)
- Experience in center-based or self-contained special education environments strongly preferred
- Proficiency in behavioral supports, communication strategies, and data-driven IEP implementation
