• Shift: Day/Evening
• Hours: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
• Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to provide care in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience with both adult and pediatric populations and be comfortable managing critical emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide rapid assessment and emergency care for critical patients
• Manage high-acuity cases including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, and respiratory failure
• Administer emergency medications and titrate drips
• Utilize advanced equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during emergencies and resuscitations
• Float to other units as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems

Clinical Skills Required:

• Experience with critical drips and medications including:
  • Pressors: Levophed, Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Dopamine, Dobutamine
  • Vasodilators: Cardene, NTG, Cleviprex
  • Anti-arrhythmics: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine
  • Sedation: Propofol, Precedex, Fentanyl
  • Other: Heparin, Insulin, TNK
• Strong emergency response and critical care skills

Requirements:

• Active New York RN License required
• Minimum 2+ years of ED experience required (including some pediatric experience)
• Travel experience required
• Certifications required:
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • AHA PALS
  • NIHSS
  • TNCC (required)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Charge Nurse experience: Highly preferred
