Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available at an elementary school setting in Long Beach, CA, offering a contract from the start of the school year through the end of the school year. The role supports K-12 students, with a caseload ranging from 45 to 60 students, demanding a skilled and dedicated professional to impact student communication and learning development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California Speech-Language Pathologist certification/license is required
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of 45-60 students efficiently
- Strong communication, assessment, and intervention skills
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and school-based therapy processes
Location: Long Beach, California
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group speech-language therapy to students across K-12 grade levels
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement IEPs
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify speech and language needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
