Aerotek is hiring for a Concrete Finisher / Form Carpenter with WEEKLY pay!
$25-$30+/HR

Job Description
This role focuses on commercial concrete finishing and form carpentry for a variety of new construction projects in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area. You will work on first shift, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, performing grading, setup, pouring, and finishing of concrete surfaces while ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Grade, set up, pour, and finish concrete surfaces such as floors, sidewalks, curbs, and stairs in a commercial construction environment.
- Establish proper elevations using skid steers, shovels, and rakes, and verify heights with lasers and string lines.
- Construct wooden forms and position them to the correct depth, ensuring they are properly aligned and secure.
- Install expansion joints, rebar, and wire mesh as required by job specifications.
- Apply poly and tape as required in project specifications to protect and prepare work areas.
- Monitor and keep track of site conditions, including ground temperature, air temperature, and humidity levels, and adjust mix designs to achieve proper set times.
- Spread and level concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, hand or power screeds, and floats.
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures into poured concrete before it hardens according to project requirements.
- Finish concrete surfaces to the specified texture and appearance using brooms, hand tools, power trowels, and riding trowels.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience as a concrete finisher and form carpenter, preferably in a commercial construction setting.
- Strong proficiency with hand and power tools including tape measure, hand trowel, straight edge, nail gun, and concrete finishing tools.
- Concrete finishing skills, including grading, pouring, screeding, troweling, and final surface finishing.
- Form carpentry skills for constructing and setting wooden forms for various concrete applications.
- Ability to work during normal construction shift hours (daylight) on a first shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in commercial construction environments.
- Background in rough carpentry and finish carpentry.
- Experience with concrete construction and concrete forms.
- Masonry experience.
- Supervisory skills or experience leading small crews on site.
- Familiarity with ACI certification standards (ACI Certification is a plus).
- Experience operating equipment such as skid steers, Bobcats, mini-hoes, and mini-excavators is beneficial.
- Comfort using advanced layout and finishing technologies such as laser screeds, robotic total stations, and ride-on and walk-behind trowel machines.

Work Environment
This role is based in a commercial new construction environment in Pittsburgh, PA, working first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons, including low temperatures, as operations run year-round. The job involves working around heavy machinery and equipment, loud noise, and active construction activities, requiring consistent awareness of safety and surroundings. You will regularly interact with other subcontractors and trades on site and must be comfortable collaborating in a busy, fast-paced jobsite environment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
