Summary:The Project Accountant assists in project-related accounting. They are responsible to help identify and report all the financial risks associated with projects. They work closely with the Project Managers and Controller to report the financial performance, and cost and budget targets each month for assigned projects.
Duties:
- Some General Ledger accounting.
- Project accounting - budgets, forecasting, change orders and identifying financial risk.
- Creates billings to customers.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Has bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Understands and applies principles of financial risk management.
- Has excellent knowledge of basic accounting functions.
- Knows how to use Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Is a great communicator.
- Demonstrates the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
- Meets deadlines.
- Has integrity: maintains normal standards of ethics, conduct, and organizational policies in job-related activities.
- Experience with Vista software is a plus, but not required.
