Flooring America Quad Cities is searching for talented Sales Consultants to join their Moline, IL showroom teams. Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding service to determine customer’s overall flooring & design needs
- Build client relationships and conduct follow up on all jobs
- Schedule appointments for showroom, home, or workplace consultations to meet with clients
- Keep up to date on the wide selection of products & services provided
- Gather space/area measurements & calculate number of materials
- Create & present project proposals to clients for approval
- Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications, availability, and sampling needs
- Mange time between showroom and prospecting for new business
- Maintain showroom by keeping samples, displays and common areas neat, current, and clean
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-3 years’ proven work experience in Retail Sales, Customer Service, Interior Design, Outside Sales, or similar role
- Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check & drug test
- A positive attitude & desire to exceed expectations
- Basic computer/social media knowledge and math skills
- Utilize various forms of communication to follow up with vendors/suppliers & clients
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision, yet within a team setting
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Strong personal and professional judgment
- Ability to adapt and respond quickly to customers’ needs and wants
- Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
- Ability to achieve sales goals effectively
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Advanced time management skills & detailed oriented
- Ability to read floor plan drawings & create project estimates a plus (Willing to train)
- Knowledge of flooring & design industry a plus (Willing to train)
- Knowledge of RFMS & Mobile Measure a plus (Willing to train)
