Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare professional skilled in registered nursing with PACU experience is needed to provide exceptional patient care in a post-anesthesia care setting on a contract basis. This role requires accountability for patient outcomes, focusing on safe, effective, and family-centered care while supporting quality improvement efforts within the unit.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and timely reassessments following policies or as patient conditions change.
- Developing, prioritizing, and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitoring and accurately documenting patient responses to treatments and interventions.
- Delivering tailored education to patients and their families regarding care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Leading and supervising licensed and non-licensed staff through delegation, mentoring, and precepting.
- Promoting teamwork and facilitating quality, safety, and service improvements in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participating in governance frameworks to support evidence-based best practices.
