A bilingual speech-language pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is sought for a contract position in a K-12 school setting in Austin, TX. This full-time role is set to commence on August 13 and will span the full school year, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact on students' communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of current therapies and practices in speech-language pathology
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language services
- Provide direct therapy to students, utilizing evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and outcomes
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
