The LHH is seeking a CNC Programmer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located on the East side of Indianapolis, IN. This is a newly created position due to business growth where you will have the opportunity to work with and program brand new, top of the line CNC machines and equipment. You will become part of a strong team that is dedicated to team work and sustained growth. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $75,000-85,000 per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program multi-axis CNC machines (up to 5-axis) to produce highly precise aerospace and medical device components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to set up machines and develop efficient machining strategies.
- Design and assist in the creation of tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support complex setups.
- Model cutting paths using CNC software and optimize machine settings for quality and efficiency.
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and customer specifications.
- Modify programs and setups to improve cycle times and reduce waste without compromising quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues and perform basic maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening tools.
- Train operators on proper CNC machine operation and program interpretation.
- Manage project timelines and ensure programming aligns with production schedules.
- Evaluate production costs and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Associate’s Degree in CAD, Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or a related field is highly preferred
- Minimum of 3+ years of CNC programming experience for machining equipment is required
- Experience with multi-axis mills and lathes is required (with a preference for Akuma and/or Haas)
- Must have experience within a manufacturing industry
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset is required
