Position Purpose:
An employee-owned and innovative global leader providing highly engineered precision metallic tubular parts and assemblies for the commercial aircraft, defense, and space segments of the aerospace industry is seeking a Controller to join its team.
This is a Director-level position reporting directly to the CEO. The candidate will oversee the general accounting and financial reporting functions and ensure internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets while maintaining compliance with financial policies and US GAAP.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee the general accounting function, including cost accounting analysis, cash management/forecasting, financial reporting, and balance sheet management.

Ensure that internal controls and policies are in place to safeguard company assets.

Prepare and monitor budgets, interfacing with internal functions.

Provide clear and effective analysis of management reports to support decision-making and profitability.

Prepare income statements, monitor financial transactions, and oversee entries into accounting systems.

Analyze business performance and develop financial plans and reports.

Ensure financial records comply with policies and US GAAP.

Prepare/review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure timely, accurate reporting.

Support external audits and periodic financial reviews.

Manage compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.

Continuously improve processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.

Maintain, review, and audit inventories (finished goods, raw materials, WIP, tooling, and fixed assets).

Evaluate inventory values to ensure accurate cost roll-up processes.

Conduct cost and product costing analysis or ad-hoc financial analysis.

Supervise and manage accounting staff.

Maintain banking relationships.
Requirements

3+ years in a management role.

5+ years of combined accounting, costing, and finance experience.

Degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).

Experience in discrete manufacturing environments preferred.

Experience with integrated ERP systems (exposure to Plex software a plus).

Strong budgeting background.

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

Experience creating financial statements and handling month-end/year-end close processes.

Aerospace industry experience preferred but not required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Exempt personnel work 9-hour days, Monday–Friday. This is an onsite, day-shift position.
Salary & Benefits

Maximum base salary: $125,000.
