About the Role:

ERP Power LLC is seeking a dynamic and motivated Product Line Manager to oversee and manage our LED driver product line from concept through market launch. This role requires strategic thinking, technical understanding, and effective coordination across various departments, ensuring successful product lifecycle management and market introduction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Proven experience in product management or product line management, within the lighting industry.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex product concepts and strategies to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with technical documentation and marketing collateral development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical background in electrical, mechanical, or optical engineering highly desirable

Key Responsibilities:

Business and Market Strategy:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for product lines, including market positioning, portfolio management, and competitive differentiation.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis and competitive landscape assessments to inform product strategy.

Product Planning and Definition:

  • Lead product definition (Stage 0), including competitive analysis, pricing strategies, part numbering, and preliminary data sheet development.
  • Coordinate Proof of Concept (Stage 1), Product Design (Stage 2 - EVT), Design Qualification (Stage 3 - DVT), and Pre-Production (Stage 4 - PDP) phases, ensuring alignment with market needs and internal capabilities.
  • Maintain and communicate product roadmaps clearly to stakeholders.

Launch Execution:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive launch plans, including marketing collaterals, final data sheets, product training presentations, and press releases as applicable.
  • Ensure product readiness available through distribution partners (e.g., Mouser, Digi-Key) upon market launch.
  • Manage release-to-market deliverables such as data sheet, product presentation, selector guides, product catalogs, etc...

Pricing and Profitability:

  • Establish preliminary and final pricing strategies at different product lifecycle stages to optimize profitability and market penetration.
  • Monitor and report product profitability, making strategic adjustments as necessary.

Sales and Channel Support:

  • Provide extensive support and training to direct sales teams, distributors, and sales representatives.
  • Prepare and manage sales tools and support materials including demonstrations, tradeshows participation, and digital presence management on platforms like LinkedIn (US).

Work Environment:

  • This role is based in Phoenix, AZ, or Westlake Village, CA with interactions across international teams and global distribution partners.
  • Travel may be required to support product launches, customer training, and tradeshows.
