We are looking to hire a DMV Title Clerk / Office Assistant that has experience, willing to train the right employee.
Primary duties include:
- Transaction Processing: Handling vehicle registrations, license plate renewals, and title transfers.
- Documentation Management: Verifying the accuracy of proof of ownership, insurance coverage, making sure all intake documents are filled out correctly and supporting documents are also received .
- Financial Handling: Calculating and collecting fees and sales taxes, managing cash drawers, and preparing bank deposits.
- Customer Interaction: Answering public inquiries, policies, and application processes.
- Record Maintenance: Using specialized computerized systems to enter, retrieve, and update personal and vehicle information.
- Dealership Title Clerk: Focuses on processing retail sales deals, coordinating with finance departments to gather documents, and managing wholesale billing.
- General Office: Helping other departments from with phone calls to marketing filing ext .
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Experience as a DMV Title Clerk / Office Assistant highly preferred.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computers, data entry, basic math, and standard office software like Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Attention to Detail: Critical for ensuring legal compliance and accuracy in permanent vehicle records.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills are needed to handle high-volume interactions and occasionally resolve issues with upset customers.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish preferred .
