SUMMARY
The person in the position of Physical & Occupational Therapist Aide will assist with patient in-take and treatment regimens as prescribed by the treating Physical Therapist. This individual must be friendly, personable and have excellent communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes but not limited to the following:
- Assists patients to/from treatment rooms using appropriate equipment such as wheelchair.
- Administer modalities as instructed by Physical Therapist.
- Transfers patients using appropriate body mechanics and equipment as necessary.
- Maintains patient care equipment and examination rooms following cleanliness, infection control and safety procedures.
- Inventories and stocks supplies, equipment, linens. Submit purchasing and equipment repair requests as needed.
- Provides other departmental support as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma; Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Aide preferred.
Minimum one year experience in customer service position; preferably in health care setting.
PREFERRED
Bilingual may be required at certain clinics or during certain shifts.
