CMM Programmer | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $54,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Delta Township seeking CMM Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain CMM programs for dimensional inspection of manufactured parts.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications.
Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections using CMM.
Troubleshoot and optimize existing CMM programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Document CMM programs, inspection results, and calibration records.
Train production and quality personnel on CMM operation and program execution.
Recommend and implement improvements to CMM programming and inspection processes.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in GD&T principles and their application in CMM programming.
Demonstrated expertise in programming CMMs using leading software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications.
Strong understanding of metrology best practices and measurement uncertainty.
Experience with various CMM probing systems and fixture design for part inspection.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) beyond basic model viewing.
Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance or troubleshooting on CMM equipment.
Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems.
Demonstrated ability to train or mentor junior programmers.
