POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Lead (Room/Area) – WORKING TITLE: Process Lead

  1. POSITION PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to perform and direct daily Inventory activities for a given temperature zone/Room/Area; ensuring that proper rotation, quality, presentation, labeling, put away, and replenishment exist.

  1. EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma preferred.

D. EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years’ warehouse experience required.
  • Powered equipment experiences preferred.
  • WMS experience Required.

E. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of produce commodities
  • Knowledge of general warehouse practices and procedures
  • Skilled in written & verbal communication.

F. Essential Functions(Basics)

  • Responsible for the preparation of inbound goods
  • Supervise the activities and conditions of designated room/area.
  • Evaluate daily conditions and adjust operations by consulting with Supervisors.
  • Provides internal customers with presentable goods.
  • Responsible for Quality Assurance in designated areas
  • Maintains and records goods for disposal/communicates with internal inventory specialists.
  • Confers with supervisors and management on needs and improvement ideas


G. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following

Level 1 GENERAL INVENTORY-

Inventory maintenance must be maintained through controls such as Counts, PO receipts, & transfer receipts. Proper inventory accuracy allows for the correct amount of goods for a given period to be on display and for sale.

Level 1- Daily

  • Review Inbound POs for previous day to ensure all goods are accounted for.
  • Review Inbound Warehouse Transfers to ensure all goods are accounted for.
  • Review Inbound POs for same day for preparation of goods.
  • Review Inbound Warehouse Transfers for same day for preparation of goods.
  • Assist in counts when needed.
  • Temperature monitoring
  • Driver returns put away/spoiled.

Weekly -

  • Correct and review quantities in pick locations.
  • Assist in counts when needed.
  • Identify overstock and report to Supervisors/Management

Monthly-

  • Review Racking configurations and change as needed.
  • Review with recommendations Pick paths.
  • Assist in Monthly counts.

Level 2-Daily-Rotation/Quality

  • Review of Dated items to ensure product is within dating parameters.
  • Quality review of non-processed items
  • Quality review of processed items.
  • Review FIFO to ensure whether it needs to be broken.
  • Remove products that do not meet quality standards.
  • Review quality top items list for area
  • Review of overstock to ensure non miss rotation.

Level 3-Daily- Presentation/Labeling

  • Ensure all goods in pick locations are levelled off/pulled forward.
  • Ensure all goods in pick or storage are labelled with Pallet license plate.
  • Ensure packaging that has been damaged/destroyed/ or opened, is not represented.
  • Review of overstock presentation/labelling
  • Utilizing WMS, review default locations versus pick locations/correct

30%

Level 4- Daily- Put away and Replenishment.

  • Prepare storage locations for days inbound goods.
  • Consolidate goods needing replenished utilizing PPRO & WMS
  • Assist operation regarding removal of goods from receiving area to storage areas when needed.
  • Eliminate all double stacked pallets.
  • Check quality of goods being replenished from storage locations. Report if found out of parameters.

Grade B or above on weekly audit of Level 4

Note: All levels reporting grades below B, a written submission of correction will be required. All audits of levels will be conducted after 1PM and will not include current inbound processes occurring at that time.
