Job Title: Credentialing Specialist

Industry: Healthcare Administration / Revenue Cycle

Location (city, state): Bloomington, MN

Compensation: $25–$29 per hour

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM First 90 days fully onsite; potential hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 remote) based on performance and independence

About Our Client: Addison Group is partnering with a healthcare organization seeking a Credentialing Specialist to support their growing administrative team. This role plays a key part in ensuring providers are properly credentialed and compliant with payer and regulatory requirements.


Job Description:

Our client is looking for a detail‑oriented Credentialing Specialist to manage provider credentialing activities within a fast‑paced healthcare environment. This position involves reviewing provider applications, validating credentials, coordinating with payers, and maintaining accurate records in the organization’s systems. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable communicating with both internal teams and external partners.


Qualifications:

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) required, or willingness to obtain after hire
  • Experience in hospital or clinical credentialing strongly preferred
  • Prior hands‑on credentialing experience (not administrative support only)
  • Familiarity with EMR systems; Athena experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and follow‑through skills


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process provider credentialing applications
  • Verify licensure, certifications, education, and work history
  • Communicate with insurance plans to complete credentialing and re‑credentialing
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date provider files and documentation
  • Conduct follow‑ups to resolve missing or incomplete information
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Support ongoing credentialing audits and quality checks
