Responsibilities:
- Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom settings
- Assist students individually or in small groups as directed by teachers and school staff
- Help students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
- Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable
- Provide support with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
- Current TB test and clearances as required by school district (or willingness to obtain prior to starting)
Preferred Experience: - Background in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Training in CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated reliability, patience, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
