We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in financial reporting and reconciliation processes. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting records.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
- Analyze financial data and trends to support strategic decision making
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation
- Support internal controls and recommend process improvements
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to manage and interpret complex financial data
- Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Proficiency leading month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
- Knowledge of GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Experience supporting audits and coordinating with external auditors
- Ability to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Understanding of internal controls and ability to recommend process improvements
- Experience mentoring or guiding other accounting staff
- Strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
