A Registered Nurse with PACU experience is needed to coordinate and provide efficient, quality patient care in a clinical setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver age-appropriate patient care initiatives in line with unit standards and clinical best practices
- Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments to prioritize nursing interventions
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care
- Participate actively in patient education and discharge planning processes
- Perform timely documentation of nursing interventions and patient responses
- Utilize effective team communication to delegate and coordinate patient care tasks
- Support new staff and contribute positively to team development and unit goals
- Maintain confidentiality, promote patient rights, and enhance patient satisfaction
- Adapt to flexible work hours, including on-call responsibilities and weekend coverage
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Proficient knowledge of patient care in perioperative/PACU settings preferred
- Ability to handle physical demands including patient positioning and emergency response
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills tailored to patient and team needs
This position requires readiness to respond to call one night per week and participate in weekend coverage twice monthly.
