Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a specialized early childhood program focused on students with autism. This full-time, onsite position is based in Lees Summit, MO, and will run through the end of the school year in May. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for working with young learners and experience in AAC devices to enhance communication outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to approximately 35 students in a specialized early childhood autism program
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each childs needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to maximize student progress
- Utilize AAC devices effectively to support communication goals
Qualifications:
- Valid Missouri Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Experience working in school-based settings, particularly with early childhood populations
- Knowledge or experience with AAC devices is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage young children in therapy sessions
