NeuLife Rehabilitation of Michigan provides rehabilitation and residential services for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injuries, and Neurological Disorders.
Summary:
The HR Coordinator is a highly tactical, hands-on role responsible for supporting daily HR operations, recruiting, onboarding, employee file management, and clerical HR functions across multiple locations. This position requires regular travel between sites and hiring events to support operational needs. Mileage reimbursement is provided for approved travel. The HR Coordinator reports to the Executive Director with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the CHRO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruiting, job postings, applicant tracking, and interview coordination
- Attend hiring events and support on-site recruiting efforts
- Drive between locations to support onboarding, file audits, and HR administrative needs (mileage reimbursed)
- Coordinate onboarding and conduct new hire orientation
- Collect and verify I-9 documentation and ensure timely submission
- Enter and update employee data in the HRIS system
- Create, maintain, and audit employee personnel files
- Maintain document retention and file organization standards
- Perform clerical and administrative HR duties including scanning, filing, tracking, and data entry
- Maintain HR trackers, logs, and reports
- Provide administrative support to site leadership and corporate HR
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1-2 years previous experience in Human Resources preferred
- Healthcare setting experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
- Previous experience with Microsoft 365 and HR related software systems
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This is an in-office role requiring frequent travel between locations and hiring events. Must be able to drive between sites, sit, stand, bend, file, and lift up to 25 pounds. Mileage reimbursement is provided in accordance with company policy.
