Position Details:Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Orthopedics, PRN

Location: Our Hospital - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Role Summary:

This position employs the nursing process to deliver patient care under the guidance of individuals licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medications and treatments, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). The LPN is accountable for the care provided to assigned patients, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are maintained. Responsibilities are carried out in alignment with our mission, values, and service standards.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED

Licensure:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
  • Possession of a current LPN license in Missouri, meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
  • Equivalent educational experience and successful licensure may be considered

Experience:

  • Open to both new graduates and seasoned LPNs

Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (or to be obtained within 30 days of hire)
  • LPN-IV Certification to be completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and assisting with patient lifting/turning
  • Capability to push, pull, and grip weights up to 50 lbs
