Job Title: Assistant Marketing & Advertising Manager
Pay Rate: $38 - $40/hr
Location: Warren, MI - Hybrid
Duration: 06 to 12 Months
Job Description Summary
The client team is seeking an Assistant Marketing & Advertising Manager to help bring to life a bold, creative, customer-first marketing strategy certified used vehicle initiatives.
This position will work with a variety of groups and disciplines across GM and partner agencies. Prospective team members should exhibit a creative, forward-thinking mentality with a strong sense of teamwork. Candidates should have a good understanding of how to manage implementation of an integrated consumer marketing campaign across multiple channels. The focus of this position is on tactical day-to-day execution of multiple marketing channels while assuring alignment with the overall brand and creative strategy. Familiarity with retail, CRM and consumer site management preferred.

- Manage day-to-day tactical execution of the retail, CRM and consumer site workstreams, as well as other areas as opportunities arise
- Coordinate and support consumer website activities with the Digital Operations Specialist
- Work closely with multiple partner agencies on aligned channels
- Coordinate with creative agency to facilitate development and production of consumer marketing materials, including necessary approvals
- Coordinate with internal GM partners such as Global Marketing and Social COE to leverage all available resources and ensure adherence to GM requirements and processes
- Become a specialist on the used vehicle market including consumer, product, and competitive
- Coordinate and meet with any necessary internal and external partners to develop initiatives to enhance GM’s used car strategy
- Working closely with other team members, support implementation of an integrated dealer retail strategy and associated materials
- Work with other client team members to develop initiatives in support of team goals
- Track media and production budgets with accuracy and detail
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years in consumer marketing or advertising
- A creatively consumer-centric, results-driven mentality
- Excellent project management skills and the proven track record to manage multiple projects at any given time
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and take charge to get things done
- Ability to synthesize site and marketing metrics and provide succinct summaries to share with larger team
- Proven time management skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently use your time to focus on the most impactful activities and challenge those that distract from the identified goal
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrably understanding and communicating with your audience (internal and external); presenting information effectively and succinctly; and communicating openly
- Advertising/Marketing agency experience helpful but not required
- Automotive experience preferred but not required
