Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support young learners in an elementary school setting. This full-time, contract position (Civil Service Year) is focused on Early Childhood Special Education for students aged 3-4 years with disabilities. The role is based in the Richmond, Texas area within an elementary campus and involves providing comprehensive support, including toileting assistance as part of the students care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of early childhood students with disabilities
- Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) effectively
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff to ensure optimal student progression
- Manage classroom activities and adapt materials to promote inclusivity and engagement
- Assist with personal care routines such as toileting to meet students developmental needs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher License (EC-12) is required
- Experience working with early childhood special education populations preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and related service providers
- Must provide at least one professional reference to be considered for placement

- Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
