JOB DETAILS:
- Position Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
- Employment Type: Full-Time & Part-Time opportunities
- Shift Length: 8-hour shifts
- Available Shifts:
- 7:00 AM -3:00 PM | 3:00 PM -11:00PM
- Schedule Requirements: Weekend availability required (every weekend or every other weekend based on facility needs)
- Location: Norfolk VA
- Work Setting: Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility
- Start Date: Immediate placement available
- Hours: Consistent scheduling with opportunity for overtime
- Pay Schedule: Weekly pay via direct deposit (daily pay may be available)
- Work Environment: Team-oriented, patient-focused, with on-site nursing leadership and clinical support
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist with patient transfers

Key Responsibilities – Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)The CNA plays a critical role in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility
- Measure, monitor, and accurately record vital signs, reporting changes promptly
- Observe, document, and communicate changes in patient behavior, appearance, or overall well-being
- Assist with patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper safety techniques
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and reassurance to patients
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
- Follow infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and HIPAA regulations
- Assist with patient transport and basic clinical tasks as directed by nursing staff
- Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
- Respond promptly to patient needs, call lights, and requests
- Support quality care initiatives and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- Authorized and licensed to work as a CNA in North Carolina
- Previous experience in Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or healthcare settings preferred, but not required
- Strong understanding of basic patient care principles, including hygiene, mobility assistance, and infection control
- Ability to accurately follow care plans, physician instructions, and nursing directives
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing a high standard of care
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, reposition, and assist patients as required
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays
