Oculus Health is currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for immediate placement at our partner facility in Richmond, VA. This is a great opportunity for dedicated CNAs looking for consistent hours, competitive pay, and strong support from a team that values you.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Position Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
  • Employment Type: Full-Time & Part-Time opportunities
  • Shift Length: 8-hour shifts
  • Available Shifts:
    • 7:00 AM -3:00 PM | 3:00 PM -11:00PM
  • Schedule Requirements: Weekend availability required (every weekend or every other weekend based on facility needs)
  • Location: Norfolk VA
  • Work Setting: Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility
  • Start Date: Immediate placement available
  • Hours: Consistent scheduling with opportunity for overtime
  • Pay Schedule: Weekly pay via direct deposit (daily pay may be available)
  • Work Environment: Team-oriented, patient-focused, with on-site nursing leadership and clinical support
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist with patient transfers

Key Responsibilities – Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)The CNA plays a critical role in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility
  • Measure, monitor, and accurately record vital signs, reporting changes promptly
  • Observe, document, and communicate changes in patient behavior, appearance, or overall well-being
  • Assist with patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper safety techniques
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and reassurance to patients
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
  • Follow infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and HIPAA regulations
  • Assist with patient transport and basic clinical tasks as directed by nursing staff
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
  • Respond promptly to patient needs, call lights, and requests
  • Support quality care initiatives and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
  • Authorized and licensed to work as a CNA in North Carolina
  • Previous experience in Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or healthcare settings preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of basic patient care principles, including hygiene, mobility assistance, and infection control
  • Ability to accurately follow care plans, physician instructions, and nursing directives
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing a high standard of care
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, reposition, and assist patients as required
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays
