Job Title: Medical Administrative Specialist (Group Practice Manager – GPM)
Location: Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center, Nellis AFB, NV 89191
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 0730–1630
Qualifications:
- Education: Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) from an organization accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) or the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) is required.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in medical administration services is required. Preferred experience with MHS Genesis or Cerner HER.
- License/Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or ARC; computer-based BLS not accepted
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and improve healthcare delivery operations and patient access
- Prepare reports, briefings, and documentation for MTF leadership
- Use business intelligence tools to extract and manipulate data
- Conduct operational studies for strategic initiatives, accreditation, and quality improvement
- Assist in budget planning and facility development projects
- Provide policy guidance to clinical and administrative staff
Navigate federal, military, and third-party healthcare systems for integration and compliance
