Responsibilities

  • The Pastry chef will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the pastry department and coaching staff on a wide variety of techniques and skills
  • Your skill in baking should be matched by your creativity to innovate and create new product offerings
  • Monitor and maintain quality of all product and presentation
  • Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of pastry production areas
  • Receive, check and properly store all incoming product
  • Know and comply with all sanitation standards
  • Schedule pastry and bread production based on business needs and communicate to staff
  • Prepare reports as needed - including payroll and scheduling
  • Review vendor pricing structures and adjust product as needed
  • Operate, teach and supervise safe operation of all appliances and equipment
  • Handle conflict resolution of guests and staff as needed
