Special Education Teacher (Full-Time)

Andover, MA | Anderson School
Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per year
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM | 11-month school calendar

Partners in Child Development is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead our first middle school classroom at the Anderson School in Andover, MA. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new program while making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with complex medical and developmental needs. Come grow with us!

About Us


For over 50 years, Partners in Child Development has supported children of all abilities with developmental, educational, and therapeutic services across our three core programs:

  • Early Intervention (ages 0–3)
  • Woodbridge School (inclusive early education)
  • Anderson School (ages 3–16, medically fragile students with complex medical needs)

Our Anderson School provides a nurturing, highly specialized environment with:

  • Small class sizes and high staff-to-student ratios (3 students starting in this new classroom – up to 6 maximum)
  • Dedicated classroom RNs
  • Individualized instruction
  • Comprehensive family support and on-site clinical services

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized curricula and IEPs
  • Lead classroom planning, instruction, and behavioral supports
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and support staff
  • Foster a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment

What You Bring

  • Required: MA DESE Licensure (PreK–8) in Severe Disabilities or Moderate Disabilities (or in process)
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Special Education
  • Experience working with students ages 3–16 with multiple disabilities, medically fragile
  • Knowledge of the IEP process and special education best practices
  • Strong communication, organization, and technology skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform active classroom tasks
  • Passing of all background and fingerprint checks
