Job Description
Seeking an Aerospace Medicine Specialist Physician (Flight Surgeon) to perform clinical duties at various AETC bases and locations, supporting aerospace, occupational, environmental, preventive medicine, and public health programs.
Responsibilities include patient care in flight and operational clinics, issuing aeromedical waivers, reviewing medical profiles, FAA exams, supporting investigations, coordinating with military and civilian providers, and providing education on physical standards.
The role involves supporting aerospace medicine operations, compliance reviews, waiver management, and consultation on readiness and emergency plans.
Requirements include a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree, active unrestricted medical license, board certification (preferably in aerospace medicine), 5+ years of aerospace medicine experience, and recent active-duty flight surgeon experience. Additional qualifications include ACLS/BLS certifications and knowledge of relevant regulations and electronic medical systems.
Work is full-time, Monday-Friday, with travel up to 25%, and benefits include healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
