Job Description\n
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring both scrub and circulate capabilities, with night shift availability and an active NJ RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting
- Night shift schedule: 6p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Surgical patient population spanning pediatric to geriatric age groups
- Must be able to both scrub and circulate
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
- 13-week contract
- Performs comprehensive pre- and post-operative patient assessments
- Provides individualized perioperative patient care based on procedure type and anesthesia across the continuum of care
- Conducts patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and instructions, including Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) support
- Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered

- Active NJ RN license (or compact license) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
- Ability to scrub and circulate required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) preferred
- CNOR certification preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
