We are seeking a highly experienced eDiscovery Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as a trusted advisor, thought leader, and strategic partner across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams. This role combines deep legal and technical expertise with market influence to support pipeline development, accelerate deals, guide product strategy, and reinforce the company’s position as a leader in defensible eDiscovery solutions.

As a visible representative of our brand, you will engage directly with prospective and current clients, regulators, and industry leaders to shape buying conversations, demonstrate defensibility, and expand strategic relationships. You will also develop educational programs, including CLE-accredited trainings, that help the legal community stay informed while strengthening the company’s credibility. Internally, you will elevate the organization’s eDiscovery practices, enable teams to effectively position solutions, and translate complex workflows and regulations into actionable guidance.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

External / Pipeline Support & Deal Acceleration

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to identify and engage high-value prospects and strategic accounts.
  • Open doors and enable executive-level meetings through credibility, referrals, and industry reputation.
  • Join sales conversations as a trusted legal and technical advisor to accelerate deal velocity and shape buying criteria.
  • Support RFPs, demos, and proof-of-concepts with expert guidance on defensible
  • eDiscovery workflows and risk mitigation.
  • Help close complex, high-value deals by providing actionable insights and trusted counsel to decision-makers (GCs, litigation leaders, FOIA leaders, IT, and compliance stakeholders).

Sales Enablement & Internal Knowledge Sharing

  • Train and coach Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Solutions teams on eDiscovery best practices, workflows, and defensibility principles.
  • Provide guidance on best way to position Casepoint to legal teams.
  • Act as an internal escalation point for complex eDiscovery, legal, or regulatory questions during pursuits.

Thought Leadership & Market Influence

  • Develop and deliver external eDiscovery trainings that offer CLE credits, positioning the company as a trusted educational resource while reinforcing thought leadership.
  • Serve as a public-facing authority in eDiscovery through speaking engagements, panels, webinars, and industry advisory boards.
  • Author content, whitepapers, or best-practice guides that strengthen the company’s market credibility.
  • Provide insights into regulatory, legal, and market trends to influence GTM strategy and messaging.

Product & Strategy Influence

  • Provide guidance on eDiscovery processes, workflows, and best practices across all phases of the EDRM.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to inform roadmap priorities based on market, client, and prospect feedback.
  • Validate product messaging, use cases, and defensibility claims to ensure alignment with market expectations and legal standards.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Deep expertise in eDiscovery law, strategy, and technology, including the full EDRM lifecycle.
  • 15–20+ years of experience in eDiscovery, preferably with government, law firm, or corporate experience.
  • Strong commercial instincts with comfort partnering with Sales to influence pipeline and close complex deals.
  • Executive presence with the ability to quickly build credibility with legal, technical, and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success as a public-facing thought leader (speaking, writing, or industry engagement).
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex legal and technical concepts into business value narratives.
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for enabling teams and advancing the profession.

Success Metrics / KPIs

  • Deals accelerated or closed with direct SME involvement.
  • New executive-level relationships opened and cultivated.
  • Roadmap decisions influenced or validated for market and legal alignment. · Thought leadership engagements delivered and leveraged by Sales.
  • Internal teams trained and confident in positioning eDiscovery solutions.
