Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for skilled Special Education Teachers to support diverse learners within a K-12 school setting in Bennettsville, SC. This contract position spans the school year and offers the chance to impact students in early childhood and high school special education programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction to PreK students in a self-contained classroom for 3-4 year olds, managing a specialized caseload at the primary school.
- Provide support as a resource Special Education teacher for high school students, serving 22-25 students in inclusive settings.
- Potentially manage a high school self-contained classroom with approximately 10 students, based on program needs.
- Collaborate with staff and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain required documentation and participate in ongoing compliance and reporting.
- Fulfill physical demands related to student care and classroom responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina teaching license with Multi-Categorical and Early Childhood endorsements.
- Experience in special education settings, preferably with both early childhood and high school students.
- Ability to manage classroom environments requiring physical assistance and diverse instructional strategies.
- Strong organizational skills and collaborative mindset.

Additional Details:
