The primary responsibilities of the Food & Beverage Manager revolve around overseeing the efficient and safe operation of the restaurant and other related outlets (such as the Lounge, Room Service, Banquets, etc.).


This role involves supervising a team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest service while maximizing profitability for the hotel. Additionally, the manager ensures compliance with health and safety standards as per state and federal regulations. Providing guidance, support, and resources to the restaurant and banquet staff is crucial, along with close coordination and communication with the Executive Chef regarding expected volumes, event schedules, menus, and more.

Additional Details:

Compensation:

$55,000 - $60,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the restaurant, meeting/catering facilities, lounge, and all other applicable outlets in Mt Charleston, NV, US.
  • Develop promotions and marketing programs to attract guests to the restaurant and other outlets.
  • Create programs, menus, promotions, and advertising to boost sales, increase revenues, and drive guests to the restaurant and outlets.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Dept. to ensure smooth delivery of all meetings/banquet contracts.
  • Provide support to all F&B employees and be capable of fulfilling all positions if needed due to unexpected volume or training requirements.
  • Prepare work schedules based on forecasts, staff guidelines, and labor productivity goals for the Mt Charleston location.
  • Ensure all beverage servers are trained in local and state beverage service laws and comply with company beverage service policies.
  • Oversee financial performance and GSTS goals as outlined by Lark Hotels in Mt Charleston.
  • Enforce the hotel’s cash handling policies and procedures effectively.
  • Collaborate with the GM and Kitchen Management to manage restaurant supply purchases, monitor inventory, and prevent shortages in Mt Charleston.
  • Participate in the month-end inventory when necessary at the Mt Charleston location.
  • Engage in the daily operation of the restaurant/Bar at Mt Charleston.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt Room Service, including retrieving trays daily and completing callbacks.
  • Personally gather guest feedback on the overall restaurant experience at Mt Charleston.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and décor consistently at the Mt Charleston location.
  • Manage costs effectively by limiting waste, breakage, and theft, as well as minimizing comps; conduct price shopping and oversee labor management at Mt Charleston.

  • The Food & Beverage Manager in Mt Charleston, NV, US should possess strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate, mentor, and counsel team members effectively with proper documentation.

  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of related work experience, preferably in management or supervisory roles, along with a college degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Serve-Safe Certification and TIPS certification are also required.
  • Performance will be measured based on ongoing feedback from supervisors, attendance, productivity, feedback from staff, guest comments, and scores.
  • The position involves physical demands in a hotel environment, requiring extended periods of walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as moderate to frequent computer use and extended workdays during peak periods.
