We're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Extrusion Technician to join a leading medical device manufacturer in Wall, NJ. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot thermoplastic extrusion equipment
- Monitor production equipment to ensure quality and efficiency
- Perform equipment setup, cleaning, cutting, inspection, and packaging
- Read blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing process specifications
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and microscopes
- Complete production documentation accurately
- Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams
- Follow FDA regulations, GMP standards, and all company safety procedures
Qualifications Previous experience in plastic extrusion, machine operation, manufacturing, injection molding, or production Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting experience Experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) Ability to read manufacturing drawings and work instructions Comfortable using basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office High School Diploma or GED preferred Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Lift up to 35 lbs. occasionally
- Work around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery
- Comfortable working around manufacturing materials and chemicals when required
