Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float
Location: Falmouth, MA 02540
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Medical/Surgical Telemetry to join a dynamic healthcare team. This is a float position requiring flexibility to work across multiple units as needed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical excellence, adaptability, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
  • Travel experience preferred
  • Must be able to perform own phlebotomy
  • Strong IV therapy experience required
  • Willingness to float between units/facilities as needed
  • Current RN License (State of Massachusetts)
  • BLS Certification required
  • Completion of Medical/Surgical IV Medication Module
  • Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia exam

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses
  • Provide patient and family education effectively
  • Accurately document care using electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Monitor and manage patients on telemetry
  • Recognize and respond to emergency and urgent situations
  • Provide care for post-operative, orthopedic, and medically complex patients
  • Manage patients requiring:
    • Intravenous therapy
    • Chest drainage systems
    • Epidural analgesia
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and best practice standards
  • Support patient care with respect to advance directives and pain management
  • Identify and report signs of abuse or neglect in accordance with legal requirements
  • Deliver compassionate care to terminally ill patients and their families

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centered care
