Location: Bronx, NY 10451

Schedule: 3×12 Hour Shifts (Days & Nights Available)

Weekly Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week

Department: Labor & DeliveryCompensation

• Local Candidates: Up to $67 per hour

• Travelers: Up to $78 per hour

Position Overview

A healthcare facility in Bronx, New York is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care to mothers during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

The RN will collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff to ensure safe and effective maternal and neonatal care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

• Monitor maternal and fetal health status throughout labor.

• Assist physicians and medical staff during labor and delivery procedures.

• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.

• Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures as required.

• Support and educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

• Respond to emergency situations and assist in neonatal resuscitation when needed.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child Nursing experience

• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience

• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York State RN License

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
