Position Overview
The Construction Superintendent will oversee and coordinate multi-family and commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of construction practices, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations on the construction site for multi-family and commercial projects.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety standards and building codes.
- Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely delivery of construction milestones.
- Oversee budget management and cost estimation to keep projects within financial guidelines.
- Conduct punch list management to ensure all final details are completed before project handover.
- Lead project meetings with stakeholders, providing updates and resolving any issues that arise.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control measures throughout the construction process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in multi-family and commercial construction.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Expertise in contract negotiation and subcontractor management.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management in construction.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety compliance, and quality control standards.
- Excellent team leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage on-site teams.
