Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical/Surgical Trauma Unit – Tennessee

Start Date: January 12, 2026
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule

Highlights:

• 34-bed trauma medical/surgical unit with 6:1 patient ratios
• Work at an ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke and Certified Chest Pain Center designations
• Tech support available on day and night shifts; unit secretary coverage from 7a-7p
• Meditech electronic documentation system
• Modern equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, continuous pulse oximetry, feeding pumps, PCA, and iMobile communication technology
• 13-week contract assignment with 2 positions available

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Medical/Surgical nursing experience required
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask effectively
• Proficiency in IV starts, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
