Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to support the design, analysis, and delivery of municipal, commercial, and infrastructure projects in Mount Laurel, NJ. This full-time position focuses on developing safe, efficient, and code-compliant structural systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong in structural analysis and building design, and motivated to work on a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, infrastructure, and public works projects
- Design structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
- Prepare detailed engineering calculations, technical drawings, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with applicable IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, and local building codes
- Review plans for constructability, structural integrity, and code compliance
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP engineers, and project stakeholders
- Participate in design reviews, construction coordination meetings, and site visits
- Assist with quality control procedures and engineering best practices
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining schedules and deadlines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- Experience in structural design for municipal, commercial, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of building codes, structural standards, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency with structural analysis and drafting software (Revit, AutoCAD, SAP2000, RAM, ETABS, or similar)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Experience with public works or government projects in New Jersey
- Familiarity with construction administration and field inspections
