Job Title: Loan Officer Assistant

General Purpose and Scope (Summary):

This position is intended to serve as support for senior sales team members. The Processing Coordinator will be responsible for file management and administrative support allowing the Mortgage Banker to grow their business.


Functions:

• Serve as a liaison between customers, referral partners, and licensed Mortgage Bankers;

• Manage CRM database, track referral sources, enter new contacts, and update existing contacts;

• Collect borrower identifying information;

• Assist in obtaining post-approval conditions;

• Complete back-end data entry in the loan origination system (this does not include taking and entering loan applications);

• Provide administrative support in collection and preparation of submitting loan application with supporting documentation to processing (this does not include taking and entering loan applications);

• Review files to ensure clean and thorough submission to underwriting

• Provide general explanations or descriptions of loan terminology or the loan application process;

• Coordinate, track and distribute marketing materials for Mortgage Banker;

• Provide a list of prioritized items necessary for the Mortgage Banker to complete on a daily basis;

• Other tasks as assigned by management.


Responsibilities:

• Conduct business in compliance with all state and federal regulations;

• Set personal goals for growth within Total Mortgage structure;

• Maintains effective communication to ensure the highest quality of customer service

• Take initiative to complete daily tasks without follow-up by management

• Take a proactive approach to learning;

• Complete necessary training and self-study to ensure passing of NMLS licensing tests;

• Meet goals set by Total Mortgage.

Note: Processing Coordinators may not, under any circumstance, take a mortgage loan application or negotiate the terms of mortgage loan, without the prerequisite licensing.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent


Certifications, Licenses, etc.

State and Federal licensing is not required for the role of Processing Coordinator, however, it is encouraged that Processing Coordinators will pursue NMLS State and Federal Licensing to better assist senior sales members.


Hours for position:

M-F 9am-5pm

This position may require frequent additional hours, at times on a daily basis; must be available to work additional hours on short notice as determined by management to meet customer service and investor requirements
