Job Title: Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Neptune, NJ
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts/week | 36 Hours/Week
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a specialized NICU team and provide high-quality care to critically ill neonatal patients in a fast-paced pediatric environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assess, develop, and coordinate individualized care plans for assigned neonatal patients
• Deliver advanced therapeutic nursing interventions and manage complex neonatal care needs
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in acuity and treatment requirements
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with nursing standards
• Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and quality patient outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float to Pediatrics and PICU as needed to support patient care coverage
Requirements:
• Minimum 1+ year of NICU, PICU, or Pediatric nursing experience
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Active New Jersey RN license or compact license
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Active NRP certification (AHA Only)
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and rapid assessment skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Schedule Notes: Includes every other weekend. Holiday requirement as needed. No on-call requirements.
